Setup — T550 10" Low Tom on Pearl Mimic Pro

Works

The T550 10" Low Tom is fully supported on your Pearl Mimic Pro.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)

The tom inputs support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. HOME > TRIGGER > Trigger Settings > select Tom.
  2. Tabs: Trigger, Kit Instr Assign, Zone Volume, Velo Curve.
  3. Per-pad: Input Settings (Gain 0-17), Advanced (Threshold, Detect Time, Retrigger Cancel, Mask Time).
  4. Trigger Pad Presets available: R-PD-85, R-PD-105, Tom Pad.

Tips

  1. Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
  2. Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
