Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash when used with the Roland TD-30.

The 11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash is fully supported on your Roland TD-30.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → CRASH1 or CRASH2 input on the rear panel

Dual-zone crash triggering: bow (tip) and edge (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge. The TD-30 supports Roland CY-series 2-zone cymbals.

Cable routing

Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal to the CRASH1 or CRASH2 input on the rear panel.

Module settings

Press [TRIGGER] > [F1] BANK.
Navigate to the CRASH1 or CRASH2 input.
Set the trigger type to CY-12C or CY-14C depending on your cymbal size.

Tips

Bow and edge zones respond independently.
Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge.
