11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash on Simmons Titan 50

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash when used with the Simmons Titan 50.

Setup — 11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash on Simmons Titan 50

Use as 1-zone crash

Yes — the 11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash works on the Simmons Titan 50 as a 1-zone crash: bow only.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → Crash input (via DB-25 cable harness)

The Titan 50 crash input is single-zone (bow only) — the manual specs the crash as single-zone and the MIDI chart maps a single crash note with no edge note (only the tom and snare inputs are dual-zone). A 2-zone cymbal triggers the bow zone; edge strikes won't sound separately.

Cable routing

  1. Connect via the DB-25 cable harness to the Crash input.
  2. The Titan 50 uses a DB-25 multi-pin cable harness for all pad connections.

Module settings

  1. Press the SETUP button, then strike the cymbal to select it.
  2. Press SETUP repeatedly to step through Sens, Retrigger, Threshold, Curve, and X-Talk.

Tips

  1. The crash input reads the bow zone only — edge strikes won't produce a separate sound.
11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash also fits 73 other drum modules — see setup
