Setup details by role
Snare pad 2-zone 1× TRS → SNARE input (1/4" TRS jack)
Dual-zone triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) are read over the single TRS connection and play separate sounds.
Tom pad 2-zone 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)
Dual-zone tom triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) are read via the single TRS connection per tom input.
Kick pad Works 1× TS or TRS → KICK input (1/4" TRS jack)
Single-zone kick trigger. Only the head zone is active.
2-zone crash 2-zone 1× TRS → CRASH1 or CRASH2 input on the rear panel
Dual-zone crash triggering: bow (tip) and edge (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge. The TD-30 supports Roland CY-series 2-zone cymbals.
3-zone ride 3-zone Rewire the cymbal, then 2× TRS → Input 10 RIDE (Ride 2) + Input 11 EDGE (Ride 1) on the rear panel
All three zones (bow, bell, edge) using the TD-30's 3-Way Trigger, after a one-time, reversible jumper move inside the cymbal (~10 min). 3Way Trigger must be set to ON.
Hi-hat Continuous 1× TRS → HI-HAT input on the rear panel + 1× TS or TRS (controller) → HH CTRL input on the rear panel
Continuous hi-hat control. Supports VH-11, VH-12 and VH-13 pad types — use VH-11, which matches the Lemon controller.
