Yes — the 11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash works as a full 2-zone crash on the Simmons SD1500: bow + edge.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → the "To Crash" branch of the multi-pin cable harness, or the CRASH 2 jack on the side panel

Dual-zone cymbal triggering on both crash inputs — the module's pad note table gives Crash 1 and Crash 2 each a bow note and a rim note.

Connect the cymbal with a standard 1/4" TRS cable to the branch of the multi-pin cable harness labeled "To Crash", or to the 1/4" CRASH 2 trigger input on the module's side panel.
The harness plugs into the Multi-Pin Connection Jack on the bottom of the module; TOM 4 and CRASH 2 on the side panel are the only individual trigger jacks.

Press [UTILITY], then [MENU] to open Trigger Setup.
Select the Crash input (strike the pad or use its Pad Select button).
Step with [PAGE -/+] and adjust Sensitive, Thresh, Curve, Retrig-C, X-Talk, Splash-S.
