Works

Yes — the T950 20"x12" Kick Drum works as a full kick on the Roland TD-27: single zone.

Trigger

Wiring: 1× TS or TRS → KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake

Single-zone kick trigger via the cable snake. Only the head zone is active.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TS or TRS cable from the kick pad to the KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake.

Module settings

  1. Press [SYSTEM], select "TRIGGER" and press [ENTER], then select "BANK" and press [ENTER] to open the TRIGGER BANK screen.
  2. Strike the kick (display shows "K") or use the cursor buttons to select the KICK input.
  3. Use the dial to set the Trig Type to KD-10 (or the model that matches your kick pad).
  4. Back on the TRIGGER MENU, open "PARAM", select the kick, then set Sensitivity from the cursor + dial.

Tips

  1. Single-zone operation — only the head zone is active.
  2. A TS cable is sufficient for single-zone kick pads; TRS also works (ring is unused).
