18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on NUX DM-8
Setup — 18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on NUX DM-8
WorksYes — the 18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 2-zone crash on the NUX DM-8: bow + edge.
Bow
Edge
Wiring: 1× TRS → Crash 1 / Crash 2 branch on the multi-pin trigger snake, or a rear-panel TRIGGER IN jack
Dual-zone crash: bow and edge respond independently over one TRS. The DM-8 has two crash branches plus two expansion TRIGGER IN jacks (set PAD TYPE accordingly).
Cable routing
- Plug the Lemon crash into a CRASH 1 or CRASH 2 branch of the trigger snake.
- For extra cymbals, use a rear TRIGGER IN jack (set its PAD TYPE accordingly).
Module settings
- Press MENU > TRIGGER, select the cymbal, and check PAD TYPE matches the connected pad.
- Tune SENSITIVITY / THRESHOLD; RIM GAIN sets the edge-zone response.
Tips
- Bow and edge respond independently.
- XTALK CANCEL helps if a nearby pad cross-triggers the cymbal.
18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride also fits 73 other drum modules — see setup
