18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on GEWA G5
Setup — 18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on GEWA G5
WorksYes — the 18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 3-zone ride on the GEWA G5: bow + bell + edge.
Bell
Bow
Edge
Wiring: 2× TRS: bow/edge → AUX1 input, bow/bell → AUX2 input (the 3-Way pair)
Full 3-zone ride via GEWA's 3-Way trigger type. On this module the 3-Way pair is fixed to AUX1 + AUX2 — AUX1 reads bow/edge and AUX2 reads the bell. The RIDE jack is not part of it and stays free for another cymbal.
Cable routing
- Connect the cymbal's Ride 1 output (bow/edge) to the AUX1 input.
- Connect the cymbal's Ride 2 output (bow/bell) to the AUX2 input.
Module settings
- Press the [TRIGGER SETTINGS] button and turn the dial [5] [<INPUT>] to select the AUX1 channel.
- Press [F1] "Settings", turn the dial [5] to the TRIGGER TYPE parameter, and set it to "3-Way" with the dial [7].
- With 3-Way active on AUX1, the AUX2 channel is no longer displayed — it is read as the bell, so assign your ride sound to AUX1.
Tips
- 3-Way works only on the AUX1 + AUX2 pair — the RIDE jack can't read the Lemon ride's bell.
- If edge and bell feel swapped, check the two cables aren't crossed between AUX1 and AUX2.
