13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Roland TD-07

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Roland TD-07.

Setup — 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Roland TD-07

Works

The 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride is fully supported on your Roland TD-07.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → CRASH1 connector on the DB-25 cable snake, or CRASH2 / AUX direct jack on the rear panel

Dual-zone crash triggering: bow (tip) and edge (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge. The TD-07 supports Roland CY-series 2-zone cymbals.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal to the CRASH1 connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
  2. For additional cymbals, connect to the CRASH2 or AUX input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Press [SETUP] > Pad Settings.
  2. Strike the cymbal pad or navigate to the CRASH1, CRASH2, or AUX input.
  3. Set the pad type to match your cymbal size.

Tips

  1. Bow and edge zones respond independently.
  2. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge.
  3. CRASH2 and AUX are direct jacks on the rear panel, not part of the cable snake.
13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride also fits 64 other drum modules — see setup
