18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Donner DED-300X

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Donner DED-300X.

Setup — 18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Donner DED-300X

Works

Yes — the 18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 2-zone crash on the Donner DED-300X: bow + edge.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → CRASH1 lead on the signal-connection harness, or the discrete CRASH2 expansion jack

Dual-zone crash confirmed on the Crash inputs.

Cable routing

  1. Connect the cymbal to the CRASH1 lead on the module's signal-connection harness using a standard 1/4" TRS cable, or to the discrete CRASH2 1/4" jack on the module's rear jack panel.
  2. The DED-300X's main pads (Snare, Kick, Tom1–3, Hi-Hat, Crash1, Ride) all route through the supplied signal-connection harness (multi-pin parallel-port connector into the module); only the TOM4 and CRASH2 expansion inputs are individual 1/4" jacks on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. MENU > SENSITIVITY > select pad > PS, RS, THREH, XTALK, RETRIGER, VOLUME.

Tips

  1. Dual-zone bow and edge triggering is confirmed on the Crash input.
18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride also fits 73 other drum modules — see setup
