Cable routing
- Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the cymbal pad to the CRASH connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
Module settings
- The DTX400 has very limited trigger settings — most crash parameters are fixed and not exposed in a sensitivity menu.
- The module reads the Crash input as a single-zone, bow-only pad: only bow strikes register, so edge and choke articulations will not sound.
- Load a crash patch whose bow sample stands on its own.
Tips
- The DTX400K connects all pads via a single multi-pin cable snake. There are no individual jacks.
- All cymbal pads in the DTX400K system are single-zone.
- The module does not support dual-zone cymbal triggering.
