Yes — the 15" Dual-Zone China works as a full 2-zone crash on the Simmons SD1200: bow + edge.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → the CRASH1 lead of the multi-pin cable harness, or the Crash 2 jack on the right side panel

Dual-zone cymbal triggering confirmed. Manual lists Crash as Dual zone (p.5). Stock crash is a Dual Zone 12" Cymbal with choke support.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the cymbal pad to the CRASH1 lead of the multi-pin cable harness, or to the Crash 2 stereo 1/4" input on the module's right side panel.

Utility > Trigger > select Crash > adjust Sensitivity, Threshold, Curve, Retrigger, Crosstalk.

Both crash inputs read bow and edge.
The manual documents choke on the crash input — grabbing the edge of the cymbal stops it ringing.
