15" Dual-Zone China on Donner Beat Max

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 15" Dual-Zone China when used with the Donner Beat Max.

Setup — 15" Dual-Zone China on Donner Beat Max

Works

Yes — the 15" Dual-Zone China works as a full 2-zone crash on the Donner Beat Max: bow + edge.

Bow Edge

Wiring: Via the stand's built-in snake — the Beat Max has no per-pad 1/4" trigger jacks (connection unverified, bench-check pending)

Both crash inputs are dual-zone — bow and edge register as separate sounds.

Cable routing

  1. The Donner Beat Max module has no individual 1/4" pad-trigger jacks. Every pad connects through the drum stand's built-in snake, which terminates in a single multi-pin "Module data base socket" on the module.
  2. Connecting a standard 1/4" TRS Lemon crash or splash pad to this system has not been bench-verified — confirm the connection before relying on it.

Module settings

  1. From the main interface, tap EDITOR.
  2. With CHASE ON (default), strike the crash to select it — or turn CHASE OFF and pick it from the drum drop-down.
  3. Set Model to D_CY10 (10"), D_CY12ST (12" standard), or the size that matches your cymbal.
  4. Adjust Pad Sensitivity (bow zone), Rim Sensitivity (edge zone), Threshold, and XTalk.

Tips

  1. Crash MIDI notes — Crash 1: Bow = 27, Edge/Crash = 49; Crash 2: Bow = 31, Edge/Crash = 57.
15" Dual-Zone China also fits 73 other drum modules — see setup
