T950 13"x13" Floor Tom on Roland TD-07

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T950 13"x13" Floor Tom when used with the Roland TD-07.

Setup — T950 13"x13" Floor Tom on Roland TD-07

Use as 1-zone tom

Yes — the T950 13"x13" Floor Tom works on the Roland TD-07 as a 1-zone tom: head only.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → the tom leads on the dedicated connection cable

The Roland TD-07 tom inputs are single-zone — only the head signal is read. Rim hits on a dual-zone tom pad will not produce a separate sound.

Cable routing

  1. Plug the included dedicated connection cable's tom lead into each Lemon tom. Its other end goes to the module's single TRIGGER INPUT connector — each lead is labeled for its pad, and the manual's instruction is simply to "connect the appropriately labeled cable to each pad".

Module settings

  1. Press [SETUP], select "PAD" with the cursor buttons, and press [ENTER].
  2. Strike a tom to select its input on the "PAD" screen.
  3. Select "Type" with the cursor buttons and use the dial to set it to PD85 or PD105 to match your tom.
  4. Fine-tune "Sens" (1-32) and "Threshold" (0-31) so soft and hard hits register cleanly.

Tips

  1. Only the head (center piezo) triggers — this module doesn't read the pad's rim piezo.
T950 13"x13" Floor Tom also fits 74 other drum modules — see setup
