Setup details by role
Snare pad 2-zone 1× TRS → SNARE input (1/4" TRS jack)
Dual-zone triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. The module's snare input reads both piezo (head) and rim switch/piezo signals.
Tom pad 2-zone 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)
Dual-zone tom triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection per tom input.
Kick pad Works 1× TS or TRS → KICK input (1/4" TRS jack)
Single-zone kick trigger. Only the head zone is active.
2-zone crash 2-zone 1× TRS → CRASH1 or CRASH2 input on the rear panel
Dual-zone crash triggering: bow (tip) and edge (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge. The V-71 supports Roland CY-series 2-zone cymbals.
3-zone ride 3-zone 2× TRS → the RIDE + BELL jack pair (trigger input 10) on the rear panel
Full 3-zone ride using the RIDE and BELL jacks of trigger input 10. Same physical layout as TD-50.
Hi-hat Continuous 1× TRS → HI-HAT input on the rear panel + 1× TRS → HH CTRL input on the rear panel
Continuous hi-hat control with granular pedal curve adjustment.
