Snare pad 2-zone 1× TRS → SNARE lead on the DB25 signal-connection harness
The DED-500 snare channel is dual-zone — head, rim, and cross-stick are separate articulations (the kit carries Snare-Classic, Snare-Classic_Rim, and Snare-Classic_CS voices, and an X-Stick toggle enables the cross-stick). Pads connect through the signal-connection harness, which ends in a multi-pin DB25 connector on the module's "Data In" port.
Tom pad 1-zone 1× TRS per tom → TOM1/TOM2/TOM3 leads on the DB25 harness (TOM4 is a discrete expansion jack)
The DED-500 manual does not confirm dual-zone tom inputs; conservatively treated as single-zone. Only the head zone will trigger; rim hits will not produce a separate sound.
Kick pad Works 1× TS or TRS → KICK lead on the DB25 harness
Single-zone kick trigger. Only the head zone is active.
2-zone crash 2-zone 1× TRS → CRASH1 lead on the DB25 harness, or the discrete CRASH2 expansion jack
Dual-zone cymbal triggering supported on the Crash inputs.
3-zone ride 2-zone 1× TRS: Ride 1 (bow/edge) → RIDE lead on the DB25 harness
Plug the Lemon ride's Ride 1 cable into the Ride input for bow + edge — no cymbal modification. The DED-500 has a single Ride input, so two of the Lemon ride's zones reach the module.
Hi-hat Continuous (kit pedal) 1× TRS → HI-HAT lead on the DB25 harness; keep the kit's own control pedal — the hi-hat signal is DB25-only, with no 1/4" jack for the Lemon controller
The DED-500 reads full pedal position from its own control pedal — a three-point calibration (Open > HOpen > NClose) captures the range (pp.19–20), and a Type: Stand/Pedal setting matches the controller hardware. The hi-hat signal runs over the DB25 harness only (p.03, p.05); there is no 1/4" jack for the Lemon controller.
