Works

The T950 13"x13" Floor Tom is fully supported on your Alesis Prime.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)

The tom inputs support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Go to Kit → Trigger Edit on the touchscreen. Tap the tom input to select it.
  2. Choose a trigger preset from the library, or go to the Tweaks tab to adjust manually.
  3. Set Head Sensitivity, Rim Sensitivity, Threshold, and Curve.

Tips

  1. Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
  2. Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
