Works

The T550 12" Snare is fully supported on your Alesis Prime.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS → SNARE input (1/4" TRS jack)

The snare input supports dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the snare pad to the SNARE input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Go to Kit → Trigger Edit on the touchscreen. Tap the snare input to select it.
  2. Choose a trigger preset from the library, or go to the Tweaks tab to adjust manually.
  3. Set Head Sensitivity, Rim Sensitivity, Threshold, and Curve.

Tips

  1. Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
  2. Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
